A Proprietary Approach to Early Education

The Early Scholars Method is a proprietary, whole-child early education approachcreated to support children ages 2 to 5 during the most important years of development.

Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, our method blends structure with creativity, academic foundations with artistic expression, and learning with meaningful exploration—within a warm, respectful, and bilingual environment.

At Early Scholars Academy, we believe every child is capable, curious, and full of potential.

Our Educational Philosophy

The Early Scholars Method is built on the belief that children learn best when they feel:
● Safe
● Respected
● Supported
● Inspired

Learning is not rushed.
Each child’s rhythm, interests, and strengths are honored.
Our approach intentionally nurtures the whole child:
● Academic
● Social
● Emotional
● Physical
● Creative
● Linguistic

The Five Pillars of the Early Scholars Method

Autonomy & Confidence

Inspired by Montessori
Children develop independence and self-confidence through:

● Purposeful daily routines
● Hands-on learning experiences
● Opportunities to make choices

● Responsibility for their environment

We encourage children to say: “I can do it myself.”

Creativity & Expression

Inspired by Reggio Emilia
Children express their ideas, thoughts, and emotions through:

● Visual arts
● Music and rhythm
● Movement and dance
● Storytelling and imaginative play

We value creativity as a powerful form of learning and communication.

Physical Development & Movement

Movement is essential for healthy brain and body development.
Our method includes daily opportunities for:

● Gross motor development
● Balance and coordination
● Body awareness
● Emotional regulation

Physical activity is integrated intentionally throughout the day.

Early Talent Discovery

Through intentional observation and exposure to diverse experiences, educators identify
each child’s:

● Interests
● Strengths
● Natural abilities

There is no pressure and no labeling.
Children are encouraged to explore freely while educators document and nurture emerging talents.

This pillar allows every child to feel seen, valued, and supported.

Bilingual Language Development

Spanish–English Immersion
Language learning happens naturally during early childhood. Our bilingual immersion program allows children to:

● Hear and use both English and Spanish daily
● Develop strong communication skills
● Build early cultural awareness
● Learn languages in a meaningful and joyful way

Both languages are integrated into routines, play, songs, stories, and learning experiences.

Owner and Director

Maria Almanza

From a very young age, I discovered my true calling in caring for and nurturing children.

As the oldest of ten siblings, I naturally learned the importance of love, patience,

responsibility, and guidance in early childhood. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion

for supporting children during their most important developmental years.

That Passion continued to grow as I raided my own three children and later becoming the owner

and director of my own daycare where I had the privilege of caring for and educating many children as if they were my own. As both an educator and mother, I strongly believe that every child deserves a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.

To further strengthen my knowledge and provide the highest quality care, I studied early childhood education at UCLA, allowing me to combine hands-on experience with professional research

based education focused on the whole child.

At our preschool we are committed to providing safety, trust, and meaningful development. Always respecting each child's unique pace and individuality. We create a warm and nurturing envoronment

where children feel loved, confident, and excited to learn- While parents have a peace of mind knowing their children are in experienced, caring, and capable hands.

Here, we don't just care for children, we build strong foundation for their future
